Terms of Service


Welcome to SuBanda Boutique Hotel. By making a reservation or using our services, you agree to the following Terms of Service. Please read them carefully to understand your rights and obligations.

1. Reservations

All reservations are subject to availability and confirmation.

Guests must provide accurate personal and payment information during booking.

Special requests (e.g., room preferences, late check-ins) are accommodated based on availability and cannot be guaranteed.


2. Rates and Payments

Room rates are quoted per night, including all applicable governement taxes as stated during booking, excluding travel insurance of 44 USD per person.

For booking of more than six nights, we will reimburse the travel insurance.

Full payment or a deposit may be required at the time of booking, depending on the selected rate plan.

All bookings are confirmed with a 50% deposit at the time of reservation and the balance to be paid 30 days prior to arrival.

Booking within than 30 days of arrival are to be paid fully to confirm the reservation.

Payment methods accepted: credit card, debit card, bitcoin, bank transfer or other methods specified during booking.


3. Cancellations and Modifications

Standard Rate: Cancellations made more than 90 days before the arrival date are eligible for a full refund.

Cancellations within 90 but more than 60 days before arrival incur a 50% fee for cancellation.

Cancellations within 60 but more than 30 days before arrival incur a 30% fee for cancellation.

No refunds are issued for cancellations less than 30 days before arrival.

Modifications to reservations (e.g., date changes) are subject to availability and may incur additional fees.


4. No-Show Policy

If you fail to check in on the scheduled arrival date without prior notice, the reservation will be considered a no-show.

For no-shows, the full cost will be charged.


5. Check-In and Check-Out

Check-In: From 2pm

Check-Out: By 11am

Early check-ins or late check-outs may be requested but are subject to availability.


6. Guest Responsibilities

Guests are responsible for the proper use of hotel facilities and are liable for any damages caused during their stay.

Subanda is a non-smoking hotel, we provide designated areas for smokers. Cleaning fees apply for violations.

Pets are not allowed.

We ask you to respect the laws and traditions of Zanzibar. You can find information about laws and traditions in public ressources, we will not take responsibility for misbehaviour and its consequences.


7. Liability

The hotel is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal items. We provide safeboxes and locks but take no responsibility for personal items.

Guests must follow local laws and hotel policies during their stay.

For all excursion organized by the hotel through our trusted partners, the liability for damages or loss is with the tour operator.

We take no responsibility for tours and excursion organized outside of the hotel.


8. Fees and Additional Charges

The hotel reserves the right to charge fees for extra services, such as additional cleaning, minibar usage, laundry and repair.


9. Disputes and Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of Tanzania.

Any disputes arising from your stay must first be addressed directly with hotel management.


10. Changes to Terms

The hotel reserves the right to update these Terms of Service at any time. Guests will be notified of significant changes through our website.
